Designed for B2 First (FCE) exam candidates
The Cambridge English B2 First (FCE) is a challenging exam, and the Listening section is one of the most difficult parts. Students often tell us they feel unprepared for it. Comprising 170 minutes of audio and 200 individual assessments, FCE Academy Listening provides ten exam-style practice tests covering all four parts of the Cambridge English B2 First (FCE) Listening exam.
Our mission is to help you pass this important exam with the highest possible marks and we believe FCE Academy Listening achieves this goal. But don't just take our word for it: read some of our user reviews to see what the students and teachers think. You can also try the free Lite versions of the apps, which contain a decent selection of Use of English tests, and make your own assessment.
The FCE Academy Listening content has been written by Michael Macdonald, a teacher of Cambridge exam candidates, recorded by FFG Audio in the UK and reviewed independently by a Cambridge FCE examiner. We worked with more than 15 FCE teachers during development.
The FCE Academy Listening app replicates parts 1–4 of the B2 First (FCE) Listening examination:
- Part 1 contains eight short recordings of individuals speaking in eight different situations. Each recording is followed by a multiple-choice question.
- Part 2 is a longer recording of an individual speaking about a specific topic. In each of the ten sentences that follow, a word or short phrase has been removed.
- Part 3 contains five short recordings of individuals speaking about a common subject. Each recording is followed by a multiple-choice question.
- Part 4 is a longer recording of an individual speaking about a specific topic. There follows six multiple-choice questions.
